Gal. 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ [in Him I have shared His crucifixion]; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life I now live in the body I live by faith in (by adherence to and reliance on and complete trust in) the Son of God, Who loved me and gave Himself up for me.
The wonder of the Christian life is the daily dynamic of allowing, and experiencing Christ Himself, risen from the dead, living His life through you. For the Christ who lives in you to be released to live through you, there are two simple things that must happen. First, Christ is Lord, and He can’t live any other life than that of Lord. To live His life is to live His story, not yours. Every thing, person, possession, desire, plan, and circumstance of your life must be abandoned to His absolute totalitarian sovereignty. Only when the canvas of our life is totally surrendered to Him can He paint His story. This is so foundational. So many want to live by faith, but are trying to trust Him to live their life, fulfilling their desires, but that can never work. To release His divine activity in you and in your circumstances He has to have total control. You can’t have it both ways. It’s either His life or yours. As I said in an earlier post, if your are to experience living through you The Life of The Lord, then He must reign as The Lord of Your Life. Part two tomorrow.
