S. S. 1:4, “Draw me after you and let us run! The King has brought me into his chambers. We will rejoice in you and be glad; We will extol your love more than wine. Rightly do they love you.”
Rev. 19:5, And a voice came from the throne saying, “give praise to our God, all you his bond servants, you who fear Him, the small and the great.”
Ps.34:1,” I will bless the Lord at all times His praise shall continually be in my mouth.”
Before we go to the main body of the Song of Solomon which begins in verse five, I want to say one more thing about verse four. There are many Christians I talk to that believe they have nothing to offer God. The truth is, there is something all of us can offer to Him that has equal value to his heart. As a matter of fact, it’s the most precious thing to His HEART. Whenever a believer rejoices in Him from their heart, and extols Him, they have given Him the thing He values the most. Our volunteer love and adoration is His greatest treasure. It doesn’t matter whether you are great or small in the eyes of others, your free offering of praise and adoration has more value to Him than anything anyone’s ever offered. When you stand before Him one day He will not speak of how big you ministry was, or how well known you were among your peers, or even how much you did for Him, but He will only speak how much you loved and adored Him. The amazing thing is, even though Rev. 19 speaks of worship in Heaven, we don’t have to wait to get to Heaven to give Him the thing He values the most. We can bless the Lord at all times even here on earth, and in every situation and circumstance of life. Just think about it, your offering of praise and adoration to Him, even in the most mundane moment carries as much, or more value to Him as anything being done by the most famous believer in the world. Your heart responses of praise and adoration in the obscure tasks of daily life, or even in your quiet moments of pain, He counts as a greater offering than any work being done anywhere in the world, no matter how big it is, on His behalf.
