Song 1:4 “Draw me after you and let us run together!
The king has brought me into his chambers.”
¶ “We will rejoice in you and be glad;
We will extol your love more than wine.
Rightly do they love you.”
The NIV says, “How right they are to adore You.” Again, remember this is a summary of the journey, having been brought into the Chambers. At the beginning she signed for a journey to “The Heights” that Hidden Ones before her had taken. She joined them, and as the upward call found her ascending, her voice was added to the other “Wasted Lovers” rejoicing in Him, and forever extolling His love. Having become a mature Prisoner of the Love of Christ, she looks back on the journey, and all that it cost her, and she proclaims “They were so right. You are worth it all. I thought when I first met some Hidden Ones that maybe they were too radical; too extreme; paid too high a price. I thought they were missing out on so much in their pursuit, but now, knowing what they know, I realize how much I was missing out on before You Took Me Away With You. I realize that I paid no price at all in light of the Great Prize of You. Now that I’m experiencing the Fulness of You, I realize how empty I was. Being a Slave of Christ is the freest I’ve ever been, or imagined I could ever be. O God, how right they are to adore you.”
