Phil. 4:19 And my God will liberally supply (fill to the full) your every need according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
Eugenia Price once said, “My need is the most glorious possession I have outside so Jesus Christ.”
Great statement! There is nothing more exhilarating than to live supernaturally on a daily basis. Our needs keep us in a position for that to happen, for they cause us to look to Him who is the source of endless, abundant, supernatural provision. Here is the stunningly good news, He, in Whom is our supply, lives in us.
2Pet. 1:3 For His divine power has bestowed upon us all things that [are requisite and suited] to life and godliness, through the [full, personal] knowledge of Him Who called us by and to His own glory and excellence (virtue).
Whether your needs are issues within, or situations surrounding you, the One Who declares Himself to be your life, has bestowed on you, already, everything you need, in His person, for all the issues of life (all the practical stuff) and godliness (all the holiness stuff). It doesn’t say He will supply, it says He will liberally supply. He doesn’t just win, He overwhelmingly conquers. If you like Landslide Victories then Jesus is your Guy. You see, the supply He shares with us comes out of His riches in glory. How rich is He in wisdom, strength, patience, forgiveness, purity, ability, etc. The more bankrupt you feel, in dealing with life, the more of His riches you get to appropriate. Now you understand what Paul meant when he said Christ became poor, (died for us) that we might become rich (by His living, with all of His rich provision, in us). Needs are blank checks that make it possible to draw from our glorious wealth in Christ. I’m so grateful for them; aren’t you?
