2Tim. 1:12 And this is why I am suffering as I do. Still I am not ashamed, for I know (perceive, have knowledge of, and am acquainted with) Him Whom I have believed (adhered to and trusted in and relied on), and I am [positively] persuaded that He is able to guard and keep that which has been entrusted to me and which I have committed [to Him] until that day.
The KJV says, “I am persuaded that He is able to keep (take care of) that which I have committed…” Are you persuaded? Are you persuaded that He is ABLE? Are you persuaded that He is ABLE TO KEEP what you commit to Him? Are you in every situation of life entrusting those things into His care, or have you been trying to carry the burden yourself.
Psa. 55:22 “Cast your burden on the Lord [releasing the weight of it] and He will sustain you; He will never allow the [consistently] righteous to be moved (made to slip, fall, or fail).”
The Hebrew word for “burden” in that verse literally means “that which has come to you.” Do you see what The Lord is trying to say to us? Whatever comes to you, entrust it to Him, restfully confident that He is able to take care of it. Once it is committed to Him it becomes His battle, not yours.
Hear these words from 2Thess. 3:16, “Now may the Lord of peace Himself grant you His peace at all times and in all ways [under all circumstances and conditions, whatever comes]. The Lord [be] with you all.” Every translation uses the phrase “The Lord be with you all,” but the word “be” is not supposed to be there. It just says, “The Lord with you all.” It’s a declaration of a fact that is the cause of knowing His peace in every circumstance. I get to know His peace because I live with His very presence in me and with me, and He is instantly prepared to take care of everything I commit to His keeping. Oh, by the way, We can rest (on the inside) because HE IS ABLE.
