1 Timothy 6:15 NASB95
which He will bring about at the proper time—He who is the blessed and only Sovereign, the King of kings and Lord of lords,
What an interesting comment about God – “He who is blessed.” How blessed is God? How rich is he in mercy, love, joy, purity, peace, patience, strength, power, discernment, kindness, goodness, gentleness, wisdom, righteousness, holiness etc., etc.?
Asking the question, “How blessed is God” is personally and practically significant because Paul said, “And my God shall supply all your needs according to His glorious riches in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:19.
Notice that the Holy Spirit did not say through the apostle Paul that God would supply all of our needs out of His riches; instead, the Holy Spirit says that God shall supply ALL of our needs ACCORDING to His riches. If I bless somebody out of my riches, it means I have taken a portion of what I have and given it to them, but if I bless someone according to my riches, then I’m making all that I have available to them. Thus the question about how blessed God is really matters because it gives us insight into how blessed we are. Again, that verse says that God shall supply all our needs according to His glorious riches IN CHRIST JESUS. In light of the fact that all of God’s glorious riches are in Christ Jesus and every Christian is in Christ, then we are in union with every blessing God possesses. “For in Him all the fullness of deity is embodied, and in Him, you have been made full.” Colossians 2:9 – 10.
I thank my God always concerning you, for the grace of God which was given you in Christ Jesus; that in everything you were enriched in Him.” 1 Corinthians 1:4 – 5.
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ. Ephesians 1:3.
The Holy Spirit shall glorify Me; for He shall take of Mine and shall manifest it to you. All things that the Father has are Mine; therefore, I said that He takes of Mine and will disclose it to you. John 16: 14 – 15.
Because you are in Christ, how blessed you are is determined by how blessed God is. WOW!!
