1 Thessalonians 5:24(KJV)
Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it.
This scripture speaks clearly to the heart of what it means to walk in the Spirit. To walk, by its very nature, means to take steps, and our spiritual walk is one step at a time, into all the situations of life. In each of those situations, and at each step we are called to, that make up the course of our daily lives, we are to rest in the fact that He will do it. He enables us with His unlimited ability to do all the things in life He has called us to do. He is always, instantly prepared to release all the resources of deity into every situation that we face. This unchanging truth overshadows every other reality. No circumstance, no matter how impossible it may seem or feel, is an illogical choice for God to call us to walk into and through, because in every circumstance if we will but acknowledge our need and His overwhelming adequacy, He Himself will do it. He is faithful. It would only be illogical for God to call us into overwhelming situations if He was going to leave us to handle things in our own ability. That would be cruel, but if in every thing He calls us to face in this life He is prepared do do through us, and on our behalf, then the more impossible the situation the more adventurous the opportunity to see what sovereign God is going to do next. Again, hear these words of promise. “Faithful is He who calls you who also will do it.” The Bible says that “Many are called but few are chosen.” I’ve come to believe that the reason so many are called, but so few are chosen, is because so few of the called are prepared to, by faith, let Him do it.
