Rev. 1:1 ¶ The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show to His bond-servants, the things which must soon take place; and He sent and communicated it by His angel to His bond-servant John,
Rev. 4:1 ¶ In the midst of these things I looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven, and the first voice which I had heard, like the sound of a trumpet speaking with me, said, “Come up here, and I will show you what must take place in the midst of these things.”
Luke 1:38 And Mary said, “Behold, the bondslave of the Lord; may it be done to me according to your word.” And the angel departed from her.
These two Bond-Servants, one still very young, the other in His early 90’s, find themselves drawn in to God’s deepest, and highest purposes. Angels unveiling to both of them the deepest things of the heart of God. Why these two Bond-servants? Precisely because they were bond-servants. They chose to be volunteer prisoners of love. Surrendered slaves of the love of Christ, these laid down lovers could be trusted with the most precious things of God. It’s only to the bond-servants that God can reveal the “what must take place things” to. We live in the midst of a fallen world caught in the vortex of a “winner takes all” cosmic conflict. Those who walk in faith, in the midst of the battles, have unique insight into the Throne Room reality that God is winning, no matter how it looks on the ground level. You see Loves Prisoners, unlike the half hearted, are able to see in the Spirit when God shows them reality from His lofty throne view. Why are they able to see while so many other Christians continue to live in fear, anger, anxiety, and hopelessness? It’s simply because they’ve, in loves grip, laid it all down, and have no other agenda than His. They have no bigger dream than to love Him more. They cling to nothing other than His presence, which has both a now experience, and an eternal hope that is even bigger.
