Luke 14:16-17 TPT
[16] Jesus replied with this parable: “There was a man who invited many to join him in a great feast. [17] When the day for the feast arrived, the host instructed his servant to notify all the invited guests and tell them, ‘Come, for everything is now ready for you!’
“He has brought me to His banquet hall, and His banner over me is love.” S.S. 2:4.
During this week as we passionately focus on the finished work of Christ, we can hear the words of Christ echoing from the Cross, “It is finished (accomplished, completed, perfect).” He by grace alone, brought humanity into the banquet hall (which is Christ Himself), with the invitation “Come, for EVERYTHING is now ready for you.
There is nothing that we can do to add to the perfect work of Christ. We have been blessed with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realm IN CHRIST. All we can do is believe. Christianity is Jesus plus nothing for “Christ is all, and in all.” The free gift of the unconditional affection, and immeasurable adequacy of Christ is yours to trust in and live from. It’s more than just having the kings provision; the King himself is our provision.
“And the God of limitless ability has super abounded ALL grace into you, that you always HAVING ALL sufficiency in ALL (every) things may HAVE a super abundance for ALL (every) good deed.”
