Galatians 3:26-28 ESV
for in Christ Jesus you are all sons of God, through faith. [27] For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. [28] There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free man, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.
Let me give you a better literal translation of verse 27; “For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have sunk into Christ (put on, or clothed yourselves with Christ)”
Baptism is more than just a sacrament; it is also a glorious symbol of what happens to us when we put our faith in Jesus, as our Savior. When we become Christians we sink into Christ, clothing ourselves with Him, and in him we are spiritually all sons (firstborn heirs, – regardless of whether you’re male or female, or whatever past you may come from) of God, and because in Christ, you are sons of God, the Father sees who you in Jesus clothes with , and in union with Christ, and and therefore, the Father loves you the same that he loves Jesus, and you carry the same favor, that Jesus carries with the Father; all because you are clothed in Christ. When you approach the Father in prayer, in the name of Jesus; the Father sees Jesus praying. When you minister in the name of Jesus, you are ministering in His name because you are literally in him, clothed with Him, and it is Jesus ministering through you. Let your imaginations run wild! Just think about it; when the Father sees you, he sees you in Jesus clothes, and therefore celebrates you, welcomes you, and blesses you, as he would Christ, not because you are Christ, but because you are in union with Him, having sunk into The life of Jesus the moment you were born again. You are sons of God, because you are dressed up in the Son of God.
