Revival is the manifestation of the Glory of God in an individual, and sometimes in a people, and sometimes on a region. God’s glory is simply His presence and His nature manifested. I believe that corporate revival almost always starts with individuals who transmit the Glory like a nuclear virus that others catch. I also believe that revival is a person, for Col. 1:27 says that Christ in you “the hope of glory.” When you look at the book of Acts, the Early Church started off in revival, or maybe better stated, they started off “vived.” They were birthed into the expectation of being in union with the resurrected Christ, with the privilege of experiencing and manifesting the “glorious” life that He lives. Today, we act like revival is a spiritual super delux model that shows up every now and then if we pay enough price for it. The truth is, the price has already been paid by Christ in His finished work on the Cross. Actually, Revival should never be necessary, because each of us were born into “Vive” (Life: actually Christ”s life) and we should never stop growing in our discovery and manifestation of that limitless life. What we know as revival is just a restoration to normal Christianity, which is the birth right of every born again believer. I am so grateful for revival, but Gods design was for us to start out, and stay Vived. In His finished work, Jesus crucified the old, and raised up a totally new creation in union with His resurrection life. In Christ, our spiritual, and thus mental, emotional, and moral DNA is supernatural. Let me ask you a silly question. Do you believe that Jesus lived in revival, or did He need something more? It is that same Jesus, though now having conquered death, who lives inside of us, and lives in us to live through us. You can’t get more vived than that. When you read the Gospels you get a view of the kind of life you can expect Him to live through you.
Here is a look at a revealing revival scripture.
Colossians 3:3-4 NASB
[3] For you have died and your life is hidden with Christ in God. [4] When Christ, who is our life, is revealed, then you also will be revealed with Him in glory.
Do you see it? Your life in God is hidden with Christ. He is your life. He is your spirituality; and when His life is allowed to be revealed, or manifested in, and through you, then you get to experience His manifest Glory. This is personal revival, and this manifested glory is a holy virus that is wonderfully contagious.
