Rev. 1:8 ¶ “I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.”
I have spoken and written about this verse often over the last several months, because there is so much practical stuff here. Just as a reminder, one of the power truths that flow from this verse is that, as Christians, we’ve been plunged into His story. We’ve been redeemed (Our whole life story) by His blood, and we’ve been baptized into Him, and His story. Our past is no longer my story, or the Devil’s it is His. My future will not be my story, or the Devil’s, but His, and my present is not my story (unless in rebellion I chose it to be) or the Devil’s, but His. Anxiety, fear, and despair comes from not believing that. I don’t have to be anxious about how things might turn out in a situation, because He is reading His already written story. I only become anxious when I want to write the story myself, and I’m afraid it won’t turn out the way I think is best for me. When I try to write the story, I always get anxious and worry, and then out of fear, try to control and manipulate everything and every one around me, so I can control the outcome. Listen carefully, His story is always full of His provision; the blessing of God has already been commanded into it. His story always has a happy ending, even if you can’t see it at first. Surrender to His story and His wisdom. Take a rest today and enjoy living an “It Is Written Life.”
