1 Corinthians 16:13 Keep alert, stand firm in your faith, be courageous, be strong.
This is a very instructive verse in these days of learning to walk in faith. We have discovered that 1 John 5:4 tells us that faith is the Victory. Not gives us the victory, but is the victory that overcomes the world. If that is true, then the real battle is will we stand in faith. Coming to the place of faith is so important, for if you have faith then of course you have the substance, even if you don’t have it in your hand yet. The time between having it in your heart and having it in your hand is the place of battle. That is why this verse says to keep alert. Expect the enemy to challenge you in your place of faith. If you are on the alert then you will be better prepared to stand firm. Remember Hebrews 6:12 says, “By faith and patience you inherent he promises.” Again if faith is where victory is won or loss, then the enemy will try to get you to waver to the point that you abandon faith. God allows this battle for He knows that there are bigger things to believe Him for in the future, and if you can learn to courageously stand firm in this battle that you will build spiritual muscles that will come in handy in he battles to believe in the future, where much more may be at stake. Determine in your heart that no matter what you see, hear, smell, or touch, what God says is the ultimate reality, and a superior reality to everything on this Earth. Be prepared to die in faith, then you will be ready live in faith no matter how severe the battle. Have a great day standing firm.
