John 3:16, “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.”
John 1:12 “But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name,”
In both of those verses where the phrase “believe in” is used, both should be properly translated, “believe into.” That carries a different thought than just “believing in.” It conveys a transition into a different realm, and environment, and reality. It means that when you become a Christian you transition from the realm of being ” In Adam,” to being “In Christ.”
All things find their true liberty and freedom when they are living in their proper environment. Fish can only be fully free, without restrictions in water. Plants can only be fully alive, and enjoy total freedom when they live in an environment they were created for; good soil, rain, and sunshine.
We as humans were created for Him, and “in Him we live, and move, and have our being (Become).”
When we are Born Again we are plunged into Christ. Only In Him do we find our true unrestricted freedom as fully alive Human Beings. In His presence we BECOME who we were always meant to be; “Image Bearers.” “For you have died and YOUR LIFE is hidden with Christ in God.”
You’ll find the real you In Him. Learning to navigate your new reality; learning to cultivate a consciousness of His Presence, and appropriating His Person moment by moment is where your true, unrestricted freedom is found, for He whom The Lord sets free is FREE INDEED.
