Psa. 34:5 They looked to Him and were radiant,
And their faces will never be ashamed.
You can always tell if a person has spent a lot of Mary Time, beholding the Lord’s face and hearing His voice, because there is a radiance about them. There are a number of places in scripture that describes the presence of Jesus as radiant. “Hab. 3:4 His radiance is like the sunlight;
Ezek. 1:27 Then I noticed from the appearance of His loins and upward something like glowing metal that looked like fire all around within it, and from the appearance of His loins and downward I saw something like fire; and there was a radiance around Him. Heb. 1:3 And He is the radiance of His glory and the exact representation of His nature, Mark 9:3 and His garments became radiant and exceedingly white, as no launderer on earth can whiten them.”
His radiance comes from His transcendent glory and personality. He lives in a Beauty Realm that exists in fullness of joy, and a river of delights, where His heart burns with wholeheartedness, passion, and holy desire. He is so fully alive, that delight and joy and burning passion emanate from His very presence. This is the shine Moses was anointed with. The radiance of Christ is the testimony we are called to carry with us everywhere we go. “Phil. 2:15 so that you will prove yourselves to be blameless and innocent, children of God above reproach in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you appear as lights in the world,”
Jesus wants us to be adorned with His beauty; His radiance. We are called to be the light of the world, and that light is the anointing of His radiance on you and me. Oh, how we need radiant people in the Church, going out into the world of their daily lives. Don’t you love to be around someone radiant with joy, delight, and passion. Do you long to know that kind of life, to be that witness of the glory of Christ. How? Look to Him. Cultivate a life that spends lots of time Looking on His beauty. Remember shinning is a fact, not an act.
