One Thing 11/23/17

Eph. 4:13 until we all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature man, to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ.
Col. 2:10 and in Him you have been made full, and He is the head over all rule and authority;
Eph. 5:17, So then do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is. 18 And do not get drunk with wine, for that is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit, Eph. 1:22,  And He put all things in subjection under His feet, and gave Him as head over all things to the church, 23 which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.

Ephesians 4:13, says that God’s vision for us all is to become mature expressions of the fullness of Christ.
Col. 2:10, says that we, in Christ, have already been filled with His Fulness. Eph. 5:18, tells us to be continually filled, and the grammar of Eph. 1:23 says that He who is in all, is continually filling all.
When you think of being filled with the Fullness of Jesus don’t think of a stagnant pond being filled, but instead, think of a river, that is ever flowing being constantly filled. When you become a Christian you are plunged into the life of Christ, and He fills you with the Fullness of His life. That’s where it starts, but it never stops. It’s as if you’ve been placed into a Heavenly artesian well, and that well never stops springing up in you with His abundant life. It’s possible for us in any situation to not acknowledge His ever flowing life in us, and thus not trust in His fullness, but it doesn’t mean the fresh fullness of His life isn’t flowing in us. I remember being taught years ago in my early walk with the Lord, that when I sinned, I should confess my sin, and ask the Lord to once again fill me with the Holy Spirit. It is of course true, that when we sin we must own our stuff, by confessing our sin, but the truth is, we never stopped being filled with the fullness of Christ by the Holy Spirit. The problem, when we sin, is that we simply stopped by faith abiding in, and drawing from that fullness; therefore when you sin, own your stuff, and then start thanking Him that He is still filling you the living water of His resurrection life.
