John 17:3 And this is eternal life: [it means] to know (to perceive, recognize, become acquainted with, and understand) You, the only true and real God, and [likewise] to know Him, Jesus [as the] Christ (the Anointed One, the Messiah), Whom You have sent.
1 John 1:1-3 What was from the beginning, what we have heard, what we have seen with our eyes, what we have looked at and touched with our hands, concerning the Word of Life— 2 and the life was manifested, and we have seen and testify and proclaim to you the eternal life, which was with the Father and was manifested to us— 3 what we have seen and heard we proclaim to you also, so that you too may have fellowship with us; and indeed our fellowship is with the Father, and with His Son Jesus Christ.
Eternal life is life as it is lived in Heaven, and at the heart of life in Heaven is the experience of His presence. The greatest privilege and joy of being a Christian is our calling to contain, and live in the realm of His presence. It’s what makes Heaven, Heaven, and makes Heaven on Earth possible. The realm of His presence is supernatural in every way, but the best part is simply Him. He carries signs and wonders as part of His aura, but fullness of Joy comes from His nearness. That’s a gift that every believer possesses and can cultivate to the highest level. Make His presence your great priority, and pursuit. It’s what you were created for.
