Ezekiel 1 describes the Holy Sprit as seven blazing, raging torches, darting about on the surface of the Sapphire Sea, with lightening flashes coming forth from the torches. Every time we get alone with The Lord to seek His face, and hear His voice, we are walking through the open door onto the Sapphire Sea in Heaven. It’s in that place of the Unveiled Beauty Realm of God, where we gaze on Him. It’s is there, before His throne of grace, beholding His beauty, where the eternal fascination of His presence exhilarates our hearts again, and again. It is in that environment where the Holy Spirit, like a darting torch once again ignites, and torches our hearts. It’s the place of perpetual, personal revival. It happens every time. How could it not? The Throne room is alive with the electrifying glory of God. Colossians 3:1 encourages us, as Risen People, to keep seeking those things which are above, where Christ is, in the Throne Room. The result in verse two is that we will set our affections on things above, not on the things of he earth. When we worship Him at His footstool, and get torched by the Holy Spirit, our affections for Him are quickened, and elevated helping us live a First Commandment Life. Pray; it’s the most exciting thing you will ever do, or rather, done to you.
