(Col. 3:11) Col. 3:11 a renewal in which there is no distinction between Greek and Jew, circumcised and uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave and freeman, but Christ is all, and in all.
I so love those last 7 words of this verse; “…Christ is all, and in all.” Pay close attention to what is said in those simple, life changing words. Christ is (in the present) in all, and the One who is in all, IS ALL. Eph. 1:23 says that “…the Church which is the fulness of Him, who fills all and is in all.” I think the Old Hymn, “I need thee every hour,” should have a line that says, “I HAVE thee every hour.”
Oh, if we could only learn to live celebrating, and resting in that reality. The One who IS ALL we have ALL the time.
Heb.7:16 adds this, Jesus is “… the power of an indestructible life.” That word “indestructible” literally means, “can’t overthrow, can’t be dissolved.” Just think, the One who IS in you, as a present reality; that One who IS ALL, can’t be overthrown or be diminished in any situation. Excuse the english, but His ALLNESS can’t ever be overthrown or overshadowed by anything you might face. The Christ in you is always THE ALL, at all times. We must never treat some temptation, situation, or person as the dominate reality at any time, for Jesus in that moment is the ALL reality, and He can’t be overthrown.
