Arise, my darling, my beautiful one,
And come along!’”
Song 2:14 “O my dove, in the clefts of the rock,
In the secret place of the steep pathway,
Let me see your form,
Let me hear your voice;
For your voice is sweet,
And your form is lovely.”
Rev.4 says, “After these things I looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven, and the first voice which I had heard, like the sound of a trumpet speaking with me, said, “Come up here, and I will show you what must take place after these things.”
As we’ve mentioned, The Secret Place happens in Heaven where the beauty, and glory of The Lord is on full display. I’ll never understand why they call prayer “quiet time,” when prayer is anything but quiet. Time spent in Heaven is the most exhilarating, and fascinating time you’ll ever spend. When Jesus calls us to rise up and come away with Him to a new place of intimacy and shared presence, one of the consequences is we move deeper into the “what must take place” realm. Those first three words in Rev.4, “After these things,” can also be translated “In the midst of these thing.” In the midst of fallen humanities chaos, The Lord invites John to come up to the Secret Place to know intimate fellowship, but He also wanted to show John the “What Must Take Place” stuff. God wanted John to see The throne room plans In “The Midst” of the chaos on earth, so He could come into agreement with God and walk in faith. The Secret Place, as described in S.S. 2, is referred to as the secret place of the steep pathway. The deeper you go in intimacy, the Higher you go in vision. The higher you go, the more you see things from the throne of Heaven. The more you see what and how God sees, the more faith you’ll walk in.
