Ezek. 17:24 “All the trees of the field will know that I am the LORD; I bring down the high tree, exalt the low tree, dry up the green tree and make the dry tree flourish. I am the LORD; I have spoken, and I will perform it.”
Is. 33:23 Your tackle hangs slack;
It cannot hold the base of its mast firmly,
Nor spread out the sail.
Then the prey of an abundant spoil will be divided;
The lame will take the plunder.
Gal. 4:27 For it is written,
“REJOICE, BARREN WOMAN WHO DOES NOT BEAR;
BREAK FORTH AND SHOUT, YOU WHO ARE NOT IN LABOR;
FOR MORE NUMEROUS ARE THE CHILDREN OF THE DESOLATE
THAN OF THE ONE WHO HAS A HUSBAND.”
2Cor. 12:9 And He has said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness.” Most gladly, therefore, I will rather boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me.
Joel 3:10 Beat your plowshares into swords
And your pruning hooks into spears;
Let the weak say, “I am strong.”
Branches have a singular responsibility and that is to “abide.”
If a branch thinks it has to be strong, and therefore try to be fruitful, it will forever live a frustrated, defeated life. Vines produce fruit, not branches. Branches simply receive and display Vine Life, as it abides. Knowing that the source of all life flows from The Vine, a branch doesn’t need to do anything to try to get the life of the vine to flow through it. Because it is in union with The Vine, the life of The Vine and all of its rich nutrients are already flowing. All the branch has to do is restfully believe, celebrating its union with The Vine. Apart from The Vine the branch is capable of doing nothing. It is absolutely and totally weak; but it is in union with Another that is able to do all things. You see, being weak, and incapable to live a holy and fruit producing life is not something to despise or be ashamed of. You, as a believer, have been positioned In Christ so that the surpassing greatness of the power to live a supernaturally Holy and fruit bearing life, comes from The Vine and not you. If you are one with The Vine, is there anything The Vine has, or can do, that you, as the branch, don’t have, or can’t do. Rejoice oh barren one, for as Ez. 17:24 says, “He will perform it,” setting you free from trying to perform.
