[7] “Not so, with My servant Moses, He is faithful in all My household; [8] With him I speak mouth to mouth, Even openly, and not in dark sayings, And he beholds the form of the LORD. Psalm 45:1-2 NASB

Song of Songs 1:1-2 NASB
[1] … The Song a of Songs, which is Solomon’s. [2] “ May he kiss me with the kisses of his mouth! For your love is better than wine. …
Remember, the Song of Solomon is about the journey of a believer who has made the life choice to pursue with all of her heart experiencing fully and manifesting fully her union with Christ. Every believer is in Christ, and is therefore in full union with him from the beginning, but every Christian doesn’t fully experience, or manifest that union. The Shulumite is longing to be a lovesick dwelling place from which the abiding Christ can live his life. At the beginning of this journey this believer has encountered at some level the love of God in Christ, and has concluded that His love is better than any pleasure this life has to offer. In light of that, her first prayer is that he, Solomon (who is a type of Christ) would kiss her with the kisses of his mouth. Life in Christ is not first and foremost about doing, or serving. Instead, life in Christ is first and foremost about encountering. We encountering Jesus, and He encountering us. It’s about presence. Deep calling unto deep. The depths of his heart calling for the depths of our heart. Spiritually, in this poetic language, this believer, having encountered the heart of Christ, wants him to speak to her heart mouth-to-mouth about His grace, and affection. God used to speak to Moses mouth-to-mouth. The idea here is like someone giving another person life through mouth-to-mouth resuscitation. That verse in Psalms 45 says that grace is poured through his lips, and this journey into becoming a lovesick dwelling place from which the abiding Christ can live his life is built, and sustained on the Lord speaking a revelation of his grace to us again and again in the secret place. We only become lovesick ones to the degree that we encounter His lovesick heart and the grace which flows from that deep well. She is simply asking the Lord Jesus to reveal more to her about his goodness, grace, and affection. She is hooked, and being hooked by his love, there is no escape. She has been taken, and is being compelled by the love of Christ on this journey of union, and Christ likeness. By the way, that prayer she prayed is a prayer that Jesus always answers. He longs for a longing heart to want to know more about His grace. Take that prayer out for a spin, and see if Jesus doesn’t respond.
