Heb. 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
We’ve talked a lot about faith lately, and I’m sure we will continue to off and on. This key verse that defines faith, says that faith is substance. I guess we could say then, that if you don’t have substance, then you don’t have faith. What I’m saying is, that if you haven’t received a thing then you don’t have faith. You might be asking, ” Do you mean that if I don’t hold a thing in my hand, then I don’t have faith?” No, I’m saying, even if you don’t hold it in your hand yet, you must hold it in your heart. You’ve heard God, and you have believed it, and have already received it. Your not waiting to receive it, you already have. You’re just waiting to hold it in your hand. It is already substance, you just can’t see it yet, but you already faith. In light of that reality, you talk and act like its so, because it is so. You keep celebrating the the substance that you have until you hold it in your hand, but your faith is evidence that it already is. FAITH IS SUBSTANCE. have a great day living in faith.
I’m pressing on the upward way,
New heights I’m gaining every day;
Still praying as I’m onward bound,
“Lord, plant my feet on higher ground.”
Refrain
Lord, lift me up and let me stand,
By faith, on Heaven’s table land,
A higher plane than I have found;
Lord, plant my feet on higher ground.
My heart has no desire to stay
Where doubts arise and fears dismay;
Though some may dwell where those abound,
My prayer, my aim, is higher ground.
Refrain
I want to live above the world,
Though Satan’s darts at me are hurled;
For faith has caught the joyful sound,
The song of saints on higher ground.
Refrain
I want to scale the utmost height
And catch a gleam of glory bright;
But still I’ll pray till Heav’n I’ve found,
“Lord, plant my feet on higher ground.”
