Prov. 30:15 “There are three things that are never satisfied,
four that never say, ‘Enough!’:
Prov. 30:16 the grave, the barren womb,
land, which is never satisfied with water,
and fire, which never says, ‘Enough!’
The fourth thing that never says, ‘Enough,’ is fire. A firestorm always wants to burn higher and hotter. It always wants more fuel: more oxygen and more combustible material. Fires always want to consume more. Song 8:6 says, ‘Set me like a seal upon your heart, like a seal upon your arm; for love is as strong as death, jealousy is as hard and cruel as Sheol. Its flashes are flashes of fire, a most vehement flame [the very flame of the Lord]! The fire of God’s love is like a firestorm that comes from His heart like a river, and blazes in His eyes. His burning heart wants to burn brighter as we receive, at deeper and deeper levels, how much He loves us. He wants to consume more and more of us. The fire of His great love never says, ‘Enough.’ As we seek Him, standing before His blazing heart, and gaze into those blazing eyes in the Secret Place, our hearts get inflamed in His presence, and we too, in response to His burning heart, burn before Him wanting to love Him more and more, and longing to consume Him (experience Him) more and more. We then become Burning Ones who also can never say, Enough.’
