1 Thessalonians 5:24 NASB
Faithful is He who calls you, and He also will bring it to pass.

The King James version says, “Faithful is He who calls you, who also will do it.” I believe this is a much more accurate translation that reflects the Greek word that they NASB translates “bring to pass.” Everything Jesus calls you to, he’s prepared to do it. Are you called to be a wife, or husband, then he’s prepared to do it through you. Are you called to a particular vocation in life; then he’s prepared to do it through you. Are you called to a particular ministry assignment; then once again, he is prepared to do that assignment through you. The question you might ask though, is how do I get Him to do it through me? The answer is very simple; you can’t. Because you are in union with Christ, He is already doing it through you, and therefor you need not do anything to make it happen; instead, you simply need to acknowledge Him, and joyfully rest in his adequacy. Galatians 2:20 says, “I am crucified with Christ, nevertheless I live,, but not I, but Christ who is living in me…” Christ is not sleeping in you right now, or meditating inside of you right now; He is actively alive and living in you right now as your life. You don’t have to try, hoping that he will; you simply have to trust that he is, resting in His grace.
