Romans 8:28

28We are assured and know that [[a]God being a partner in their labor] all things work together and are [fitting into a plan] for good to and for those who love God and are called according to [His] design and purpose.
Setbacks can be so disappointing, and can be frightening. Frightening, because the enemy whispers in our ears that we will never get There. You know “THERE”, that place in God that you believed God promised you were headed toward as part of your destiny. The truth is, there are no setbacks, unless it’s the result of sin(even then, if there is true repentance God can work redemption and advancement). There is no setbacks because Jesus is always moving forward; always advancing; always moving His purposes, and our destinies along. Joseph is a great example. When he was sold into slavery, that was a setback. When he was lied about and imprisoned, that was a setback. When the Cupbearer forgot about him for 2 years, that was a setback. The reality is, that if you go back and look at all of those events, you will discover that none of those things were setbacks at all. As a matter of fact, God used all of those seeming setbacks to accelerate Joseph toward his destiny, and to enlarge him spiritually, emotionally, and mentally, for the destiny he was advancing toward. What kept Joseph from being devistated by these events was that he firmly stood in faith, that no matter what saw, sensed or heard, God was winning, and advancing, keeping His promises.
