Gen. 28:10,16-17, Then Jacob departed from Beersheba and went toward Haran. 11 He came to a certain place and spent the night there, because the sun had set; and he took one of the stones of the place and put it under his head, and lay down in that place. 12 He had a dream, and behold, a ladder was set on the earth with its top reaching to heaven; and behold, the angels of God were ascending and descending on it.
16 Then Jacob awoke from his sleep and said, “Surely the LORD is in this place, and I did not know it.” 17 He was afraid and said, “How awesome is this place! This is none other than the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven.”
Jn. 1:51, “ And He *said to him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, you will see the heavens opened and the angels of God ascending and descending on the Son of Man.”
Eph. 1:3, “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ,…”
Eph. 2:4-6, But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, 5 even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), 6 and raised us up with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus
Jesus is the “gate of Heaven.” Angels descended, and ascended on the ladder in Genesis 28, and Jesus said in Jn. 1 that the angels descend and ascend on Him.
Jesus lived on earth under an Open Heaven. Actually, it would better be said that Jesus is the Open Heaven. Because we are in Christ, we are seated in Heaven with Him now, even with our feet squarely on the earth. Think about that. We don’t just live under an Open Heaven; we are seated in Him in the Heavenly places themselves. That is true about every believer all of the time. Supernatural Open Heaven realities, and experiences should be the normal atmosphere that we should walk in. We don’t have to plead for God to give us an “Open Heaven” experience; instead, we need to simply believe what He says is already true about us, and become conscious of our position in Christ. Start thanking Him that you are seated in an Open Heaven every moment. You carry that with you every where you go. You aren’t just under an Open Heaven; you are resting in The heavenly realm already, so rest in what you are resting in, and start revealing the truth to the world around you. Stop asking His glory, and the miraculous, and start expecting it.
