One Thing 4/25/16

Jn.3:35 The Father loves the Son and has given all things into His hand.

Jn.13:3 Jesus, knowing that the Father had given all things into His hands, and that He had come forth from God and was going back to God,

Both of the verses speak of the fact that The Father had given all things into the hands of Jesus. Actually verse 34 of John 3 says that the Father gave The Spirit without measure to Jesus. The interesting thing about both of the verses is that immediatly following them Jesus released simple servant love; in John 3 to the broken outcast woman at the well, and in John 13 He got down on His hands and knees and washed the disciples feet, including Judas the betrayer. When we think of Christlikeness released in ministry, we have a tendency to think of extraordinary signs and wonders being done, but in both of these places what we see released is extraordinary servant love, which  in God’s eyes is the greatest sign and wonder. True world changers don’t usually live what we might call extraordinary lives; instead they live daily doing ordinary things with extraordinary love.
