Galatians 2:20

20 I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and [a]the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me.
The last few days, I’ve been sharing with you how God healed me and set me free 34 years ago. It’s been a healing experience that He has continued to build on all these decades. As said yesterday, the liberating truth that totally transformed, and is still transforming, my life is resident in every single Christian. That transforming truth is Jesus Himself. The Christian life is a person, not an idea, or a principal. It’s a relationship with a remarkable and supernatural person who by the Holy Spirit has come to live inside each of us. He loves us fiercely and relentlessly, and is living inside of us now sharing with us His limitless ability. The best description of the Christian life I know is this, “The life He lived then, lived now, by Him, in us.” Jesus died on the cross for us, so that risen from the dead, He can live His life in us and through us. How exciting. What hope! That’s why Peter said, We are born again to a living hope. Not a dying hope, though I’m grateful for that, but a living hope. Listen to the source of that hope. “1 Peter 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His great mercy has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead…” The one who conquered death is living inside of me. If He has already conquered death, is there anything I will ever face that He’s not big enough for? I used to be a a professional worrier. I made it an art form. I come from a long line of professional worriers, but I took it to a new level. One day, during the time I was being healed God said There are some things you can worry about.” I thought that was cool that He was bargaining with me, since He knew how much I loved to worry. Then He finished what He had started to say. “You can worry about all those things I’m not big enough for.” GEEZ!!! I wrote that in my bible and am influenced by those words everyday of my life. Well tomorrow, I will tell you how, though Christianity is a Who not a How, to enter the experience of Christ Himself living His life through you.
