One Thing

Romans 14:7-9
7None of us lives to himself [but to the Lord], and none of us dies to himself [but to the Lord, for]

8If we live, we live to the Lord, and if we die, we die to the Lord. So then, whether we live or we die, we belong to the Lord.

9For Christ died and lived again for this very purpose, that He might be Lord both of the dead and of the living.

Had a really awesome thing happen to me tonight. We are at a Mall in B’ham doing some shopping. We stay at a Hotel that is connected to a mall, because it is easier for Olivia to shop. There is a store that does Japanese massages, and I stopped in to get my feet massaged. The man who worked on my feet could speak very little English. He was really kind, and had a very gentle spirit, but was almost impossible to communicate with. We kept trying though. Ultimately the Lord told me to ask if he was a Christian. After several attempts we showed him a cross, and he finally understood what we were asking. He said, “Los Angeles,”and then bowed his head and said the word “Yes.” He had lived in Los Angeles for 1 1/2 years after coming to America before moving to B’ham. He was telling us that while he was in LA, he gave his life to Jesus. The way he described his conversion blessed me so much. To him, coming to Jesus is bowing your head and saying YES. This is absolutely the truth. Coming to Christ is not just praying a prayer so you can go to Heaven, it’s bowing our head, and saying yes to the Lord of Lords. This is our first act of love in our relationship with Jesus. This is how we continue our life of love with Him everyday. Col.2:6 says, “Therefore as you have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him.” Everyday, and in every situation simply bow your head and say Yes. Take what He gives, and give what He takes in every circumstance by bowing your head and saying Yes. In everything He asks you to do,or not do, again, simply bow your head and say Yes. Have a great day, loving Him all day with your bow and your Yes.

All to Jesus, I surrender;
All to Him I freely give;
I will ever love and trust Him,
In His presence daily live.

I surrender all, I surrender all,
All to Thee, my blessèd Savior,
I surrender all.

All to Jesus I surrender;
Humbly at His feet I bow,
Worldly pleasures all forsaken;
Take me, Jesus, take me now.

All to Jesus, I surrender;
Make me, Savior, wholly Thine;
Let me feel the Holy Spirit,
Truly know that Thou art mine.

All to Jesus, I surrender;
Lord, I give myself to Thee;
Fill me with Thy love and power;
Let Thy blessing fall on me.

All to Jesus I surrender;
Now I feel the sacred flame.
O the joy of full salvation!
Glory, glory, to His Name!
