Life, Liberty, and The Pursuit of Holiness 11/28/11

I woke up this morning hearing the phrase Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Holiness. Our Declaration of Independence states “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.” We have made happiness such a priority in our culture that we’ve forgotten how to get there. We’ve slipped into such self indulgence, that our pursuit of happiness has become, our personal declaration of independence. We believe we can do anything regardless of how God feels, or how it impacts others, as long as we are happy. Of course you never find it With that mindset. I can’t tell you how many Christians ignore the clear will of God, or twist the will of God to fit their pursuit of happiness. They usually have a pattern of doing this which has always ended up with them being more miserable than before.

Well, God is saying, especially to those in this culture, that the only way to know Abundant Life, and True Liberty, (which is relentless happiness) is to pursue holiness. Only in the Pursuit of Holiness can human beings find Effervescent Life, and Limitless Freedom. God isn’t against happiness. He loves for His children to be happy, as any Father would, and His love for us infinitely exceeds the love of any earthly Father. He delights in our joy and laughter. It breaks His heart to see us discouraged, and depressed. It’s our personal declaration of independence that has robbed us of our unalienable rights , as believers that have been endowed to us by our Savior, to experience Abundant Life, and celebrate True Liberty. If you find yourself once again miserable in your pursuit of happiness, then start pursuing Holiness. You might say how. Well, I saw in a vision a brilliant light illuminating an Ancient Glory path. He is making it easy in this season to find the Paths Of Righteousness. If you make Holiness your pursuit, He won’t let you miss the Path. We live in a Parting Path time. He is calling people to part with the Path of Declared Independence, and to walk on the Path Deliberate Dependence.
