Greece/ Whose to blame 8/1/11
As many of you might be aware that the country of Greece has been on the news often, almost daily for many many many many months now because there going through a financial meltdown. In the natural, there are many reasons for that financial meltdown. Primarily because they’re in too much debt and they can’t pay off the debt. The interest on the debt is so high that so much of their national monies that are spent are spent on trying to satisfy the debt. So Greece is going bankrupt and has had to experience a huge bailout from Europe but it is probably still not going to work unless something dramatic happens. Now in Greece, there are not like violent riots necessarily but a lot of marches and protest and a lot of questions being asked “Whose to blame?” “How did we get in this situation?” So they blame this person who is in charge of the government or the other person. Not that dissimilar to what we are starting to go through here in America. The answer is this what, the Lord showed me is this; whose to blame in Greece is the Church. As you know the national church of Greece is the Orthodox Church and the key to Greece coming out of this slide, this landslide that they are experiencing, is for a real spirit of renewal to hit the Church in Greece. For the Church to be on its knees and the Church to rise up in Greece and be the salt of the earth, that earth, and a light of the world, that world, at this time. There has to be the Church again on its knees and on its face before the Lord crying out to God. What Greece needs is supernatural favor and supernatural mercy that will come as the Church is on its knees with a spirit of repentance and desperation crying out to God for his favor and for His intervention. So if the question is whose to blame for what is going on in Greece, whose to blame is the Church because the Church has not been desperate and the Church has been too anemic and the Church has not done its job to be the salt and the light in that place. Therefore, lets pray for the Holy Spirit to move in a fresh way in the Church in Greece.
