Romans 6:23
New American Standard Bible (NASB)
23 For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Sin is a real Killer. Romans says “The wages of sin is death.” the word “death” in scripture literally means “to separate.” hewn some dies, they don’t check them for signs of death, they check them for signs of life. If the signs of life aren’t there, then they declare them dead. It means your body has been separated from life, and all the consequences life brings.
Sin doesn’t separate us from the love of God. Nothing can, but it does separate us from the flow of His life, and that is death. His life is heavenly, supernatural, always effortlessly springing up, and limitless. That’s what sin separates us from; Life from above. He grieves over us in our sin, just like we grieve over loved ones whose bodies have been separated from life. The good news spiritually, is that true confession allows us to experience resurrection to life again, and again. 1 John makes it real clear that our sin doesnt keep us separated from life, it’s our unwillingness to call it sin. Every time we confess our sin, He restores to us the experience of the free gift of the Life from Above that we all received at our new birth. Have a great day avoiding sin at all cost, and If you stumble, restore the flow through simple confession. Don’t wait to long, death takes its toll.

Marvelous grace of our loving Lord,
Grace that exceeds our sin and our guilt!
Yonder on Calvary’s mount outpoured,
There where the blood of the Lamb was spilled.

Refrain

Grace, grace, God’s grace,
Grace that will pardon and cleanse within;
Grace, grace, God’s grace,
Grace that is greater than all our sin.

Sin and despair, like the sea waves cold,
Threaten the soul with infinite loss;
Grace that is greater, yes, grace untold,
Points to the refuge, the mighty cross.

Refrain

Dark is the stain that we cannot hide.
What can avail to wash it away?
Look! There is flowing a crimson tide,
Brighter than snow you may be today.

Refrain

Marvelous, infinite, matchless grace,
Freely bestowed on all who believe!
You that are longing to see His face,
Will you this moment His grace receive?
